Childbirth is a time when a woman's power
and strength emerge full force, but it is also a vulnerable time, and a time
of many changes presenting opportunities for personal growth.

The Kootenay Doula Group - Volunteer Project
provides barrier-free birth doula
services for low-income women.
While having a birth doula is priceless, some
families absolutely cannot afford the fee. We want to see every mother in the
Kootenays who wants a birth doula being supported by one.
When families who can afford a doula pay for one,
they help us serve families who cannot.
How do I connect with my volunteer doula?

Contact the Project to see if there are volunteers available for your due
date and location.

Complete and send in the application form.

Work with the Volunteer Project to find your doula. Project clients choose
their doulas based upon availability.
